The answer lies in a large body of research focused on the drivers of individual and firm performance. Energy is the ability to do work, and firms that optimize and direct employee energy to meet critical goals create long-term competitive advantage that drives sustained growth. The research learning on substantial work on energy is highlighted, and lessons from firms that have been measuring and managing energy are shared in an effort to help leaders understand how to use energy as a leadership tool.
