This includes majority of Asia, Africa, South and Central America. There are two things to register in this. One that even in the near future majority of population in the world will live in rural areas and more importantly in spite of big deprivation and disconnect with urban systems they continue to live. This is the spirit and Phenomena of Rural Entrepreneurship. This is a aspect which has not received the attention it deserves. There are two reasons to look at this: one to understand and facilitate them to do better so that productivity, opportunity and value addition takes place. The other equally importantly is to learn from them so that our Urban Entrepreneurship works Synergistically with them. This is needed as Rural systems are under tremendous pressure leading to collapse in many places (Somalia, Botswana, Afghanistan, many parts of India, etc). Further given modern global economic models, success of Urban System is almost always the case with failure or destruction of the Rural system (Eg. Diamond mining in many African nations, Agriculture in India, etc). Thus it is equally or more important...
