Assam is endowed with vast natural and human resources but we have failed to utilize all the natural and human resources properly due to the lack of latest technology skills, training and Information. There are tremendous prospects of Cane and Bamboo based small scale industries in the entire northeast region. The production of different items for both domestic and commercial purposes has been continuing in this region from time immemorial. But due to ignorance of Modern Technologies and lack of management, motivation of the artisans, these viable and economically benefited affluence has been contributing very marginally to the economy. The traditionally made Cane and Bamboo products are gradually Hammered by the Industrialization, and therefore it is the need of the day to change the conventional methods by modern high productive innovations, so that per unit production cost will fall and per labour productivity will increase.
