The number of women entrepreneurs in Small Business has substantially increased. Small Business occupies a very significant position in the economy of India as it provides various livelihood opportunities to both skilled and unskilled labour force of the nation. The paper makes an attempt to identify influential factors responsible for the participation of women as entrepreneurs with the help of a Case Study of women entrepreneurs in MSME Sector of Delhi. A sample of 30 women entrepreneurs located in different areas of Delhi has been contented The factors that motivated women to take up entrepreneurship, the factors that influenced the choice of product manufactured/service provided and the skills of entrepreneurs in the initial stage have been assessed to judge the factors that work as catalyst force towards entrepreneurship. The assessment of such factors will provide a guideline to frame the policy towards the factors that increase the participation of women as entrepreneurs in India.
