Abstract: Monopolistic attitude of men of ruling the board rooms and stock market has been broken by the emergence of women entrepreneurs in the global market which is apparent from the recent trend in the entrepreneurship development. Women have finally arrived. They have freed themselves from the clutches of patriarchal society. They have plunged into entrepreneurship zone and how! May it be rural businesses, small industries or the macro giants, they have started making their presence felt in the corporate world. Growth of women entrepreneurs is steadfast, showing positive impact on the economy.The present paper is divided into four segments, viz., tracks the growth of women from – being clad in the Saree bustling around the house to leading board rooms and regulating stock markets, it highlights and analyses the challenges faced by women, examples of women entrepreneurs and their contribution and the way forward for women entrepreneurs
