dc.description.abstract | Entrepreneurship in the cultural and creative industry means creating creative ideas and pursuing them within business path for profitability. Rather, the main aim is innovation and probability of a new object creation. Cultural enterprises are gaining significance due to their contribution to economic development and their ability to create thriving communities. Most cultural enterprises can be characterized as project-based small and micro entrepreneurial ventures. As a result, not only is entrepreneurship for cultural industries important, but also the need has increased in the past few decades. Thus far, systematic research has revealed little about the factors which motivate individuals to become cultural entrepreneurs. The focus of the paper is on the evolvement of the academic literature in regards to entrepreneurship in cultural industries, creative industries, and the arts. The contribution of the paper is in the comprehensive summary of relevant publications in the field of cultural entrepreneurship, published in Scopus, the critical evaluation of the state of the research and the identification of future research directions | en_US |
