Abstract: Literature review in respect to MSMEs is ample, but theory building with respect to small and medium businesses is fragmented and requires exploration. This paper aims to understand the contributions made by various scholars in the areas of theory building for Entrepreneurship, Innovation, adoption of Technology and growth cycle in developing countries for SMEs. In this paper, Literature review analysis has been done using Qualitative Data Analysis Software (QDAS) -by NVivo 11 Plus software. QDAS tools allow the researcher to explore large amounts of textual documents to see patterns and relationships.
