Abstract: No matter the size of the business or sector it operates in, businesses need to operate in an ethical manner to ensure sustainability. The core function of building a brand is to be ethical and true to the products or services that you supply. Economies are dependent on entrepreneurs and it is essential that such entrepreneurs maintain ethical behaviour throughout their business venture. Conducting themselves in an ethical manner and being true to themselves are key elements to ensure this country produces quality and highly skilled entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs will no doubt face many ethical dilemmas in business especially in start-up businesses, but there are however key principles that should be maintained and various legislations in place that they need to conform to, keeping entrepreneurs focused and behaving ethically. Entrepreneurs build solid brands by ensuring all employees maintain the same ethical behaviour.
