Abstract: This study compares the incubated and non-incubated start-ups in India on the basis of resource secured and performance achieved. The resources secured were divided into three main resources which every start-ups require i.e. government support, financial resources, and network support. The performance of the start-ups was measured on four different bases i.e. customer traction, scalability, market growth, and profit. The data was collected by 146 incubated start-ups and 84 non-incubated start-ups by the way of two different questionnaires. The study was based on resource based view and knowledge based view. The t-test was run to see if there is any difference between the incubated start-ups and non-incubated start-ups.
