Abstract: The Union Government as well as the State Government of Kerala have been steadily stepping down from their roles as employers and pushing and offering financial and scientific help to anyone looking to start their own business or venture. The motivating elements include problems such educated youth unemployment, hardships for jobs from college campuses, changes related to various rules and regulations in relation to the respective States and Union territories and more as well as rapid technological advancement and change. Entrepreneurship in India represents a path out of poverty and toward prosperity. One of the key routes to new technology innovation is entrepreneurship. One of the most important qualities of successful entrepreneurs and engineering graduates is creativity and innovation. Engineering students are inspired to foster an entrepreneurial culture by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centers on campus. The key thrust of this humble study is to identify how the various engineering students, particularly those who are mechanical engineers and attend Kerala colleges, feel about startups and other entrepreneurial endeavours.
