Abstract: An entrepreneur refers to a person who sets up a business or businesses, taking on financial risks in the hope of profit. When individual or group of individuals want to set up a business related to adventure and its related activities the degree of risk is increases because the term adventure refers to highly risky experience. The present study focuses on adventure tourism and entrepreneurship in the state of Goa. As Goa is one of the major tourism destinations in the country, the main focus is on beach tourism. There are very few adventure tourism activities going on in the state. As a result the number of entrepreneurs engaged in adventure tourism activities is few. The objectives of this paper are to identify the motives behind becoming an adventure tourism entrepreneur. To identify problems faced by an adventure tourism entrepreneur. To identify suggestions to overcome the problems faced by an entrepreneur. And to identify the scope of adventure tourism entrepreneurship in the state of Goa The case study method was used and data was collected in semi-structured interviews. The study will help in understanding the problems and prospects of becoming an adventure tourism entrepreneur.
