Abstract: After the devastating earthquake of 2001 which struck in the distinctness of Kachchh, Gujarat, under the rehabilitation and reconstruction project, Government of Gujarat has taken various macro economic and political decisions to promote and develop achchh. Due to this in the last decade various industries have set up in the district and are the engine for the growth in the district. The present paper tries to study the Investment Climate factors as described by the World Bank in the World Development Report of 2005, “A better investment climate for everyone” and in the last section tries to study the perceptions of the entrepreneurs in the district for the above factors described at the global level and their existence at the local level. The paper broadly tries to study the impact of Investment climate factors in the growth of the district.
