Abstract: This paper explores motives of various social enterprises. The paper highlights on social entrepreneurs as peoplewho distinguish a social problem and practice entrepreneurial values to practice, generate, and accomplish an endeavor to make social transformation. This paper argues that social enterprises for-profit or not-forprofit; have primary objective of creating sustainable systems change for social benefits. This paper is based on the interview of few social enterprises and explores various dimensions of social entrepreneurship. Primary data was collected from direct interview with a few social entrepreneurs and secondary date was literature review. This paper endeavors to study the psychology of a social entrepreneur as to why one person wants to become a social entrepreneur and what are the reasons for his or her success. The study also explores the insights whether a social entrepreneur can really contribute towards the economic advancement of the underprivileged community of our society.
