04 Summer Camp on Entrepreneurial Adventures for the youth, 1995

Abstract

Vishwanathan Anand, Sachin Tendulkar, A.R. Rehman, Malleshwari, Sushmita Sen are some of the young 'achievers' admired by all of us. There are many such'achievers' in every walk of life, be it science, arts, business, sports, music or industry. They have not only attained success in their chosen career at an early age but have also provided useful lessons and inspirations to others. Every person cherishes a dream of excelling in his/her career and therefore, would like to select it carefully and appropriately and equip himself/ herself with requisite capabilities to reach the heights of success. It is therefore necessary to learn what would ultimately lead to success and achievement. Conventional education, unfortunately, has no answers to these queries. One, therefore, has to undertake a special kind of search and in the process,analyse oneself to know what makes one an 'achiever'. One often hears of the terms such as creativity, excellence, innovation, leadership, independence. All these can be effectively combined to form one word, 'entrepreneurship'. The Summer Camp focusses on development of entrepreneurship, the back-bone for achievement in life.
