Edupreneurship as a concept is rooted in small personalized education wherein experiential learning takes place and the student outshines others due to personality development in a practical manner. The focus is on Application based education. It is Thematic and Simulation based as well, that hones Problem Solving & Decision Making skills. Edupreneurship has a crucial role to play in a developing country like India which has sizeable unskilled, unemployed, illiterate and poor youth population living in rural areas having limited opportunities of adequate and formal education. Here edupreneurship is also promoted by some NGO’s and educational institutions. One major aspect that draws attention is that largely such organizations are self reliant financially. They start to enter in the education field by running short term capsule courses which have a sizeable market demand and certificates are provided like in English proficiency, Vocational and skill based programmes, handicrafts, Computer proficiency, soft skills programmes andmany more. The magnitude of change achieved so far is extremely small. However, the scope that lies ahead in this challenging field is vast. This paper highlights such initiatives taken by a successful edupreneur located in Uttar Pradesh and its contributions towards the society for the upliftment of poor, empowering women, increasing self employ ability and socio – academic development per se.en_US
