Agriculture is the primary source of occupation in our country, with approximately 70-80%of its population residing in the villages and can easily be estimated that the majority of the working Human Resource (HR) in our country is involved in the occupation of agriculture. One may easily wonder that after 60 years of Independence, with so much economic independence, so many agricultural schemes why is India still not self- sufficient in Agriculture. The way various industries had excelled and prospered agriculture still is way behind them. In order to promote the agriculture Government and many organizations has taken steps to develop the organization. Although banks had taken initiatives since 1967 but there is huge scope for improvement. This paper explores the entrepreneurial skills which bank (Union Bank of India- PINDRA TEHSIL (District), VARANASI (UTTAR PRADESH)) looks at before sanctioning the loan to the farmers under the agripreneurship scheme. The primary concern of the paper is to recommend ways how the conditions of the social, economic, political and cultural framework can be changed in order to facilitate the adoption of entrepreneurial skills for farmers and how farmers themselves can improve their entrepreneurial skills. Also how the Union Bank of India helped the farmers by providing the loan in agriculture.en_US
