dc.description.abstract | Education is considered to be a chief defense of any country. Literacy in India is the key to socio-economic progress and the Indian literacy rate grew to 74.04% in 2011 from 12% at the end of British rule in 1947. Edupreneur is a person within a public school who takes responsibility in creating and developing a program, product, service, technology for the enhancement of learning, which is consistent with the stated goals of and supported by that organization. Ancient India has been the sole witness to edupreneurship, through the education township of Takshila and Nalanda universities during the golden age. Charutar Vidya Mandal (CVM) is an extension of the concept of education in the modern age. CVM is located in Vidhyanagri of Gujarat- Vallabh Vidyanagar. Genesis of CVM dates back to 1946, under the visionary leadership and chairmanship of Dr. C. L. Patel. The progress of society and rural India directly depends on educating the youngsters for best prospects of country. Present case study tries to explore and appreciate the edupreneneruial initiatives of CVMto provide a quality standard, learning opportunity to youngsters. CVMthrough worthy education bestows the youth a prospect to be an entrepreneur. Edupreneurs like entrepreneurs encourages innovation in education. Commercial entrepreneur’s goal is to maximize profit whereas social edupreneur aspire improvement of learning. In otherwords edupreneruship in education is a direct route to entrepreneurship. | en_US |
