Electricity is reaching all the villages in our country. Domestic electric appliances have become very popular. Electric Iron has become an appliance required in every house. Most modern irons are made of metal and plastic, and have many features such as steam, temperature controls, and automatic shutoff. Steam provides an additional means for removing wrinkles from clothing. Steam irons work the same way except they contain a reservoir filled by the user with water. The water is heated when it spills against the hot soleplate and produces steam which then exits the iron through the openings on the soleplate and on to the garment. In a steam iron, both steam and traditional ironing methods are being used at the same time.en_US
