Abstract: | India has a large number of public sector undertakings. Research & Development is an integral part of many of these undertakings, the R& D centres of these public sector establishments have contributed to research in India in a big way, whether it is product innovation, process innovation and in general technology development. Many of the Public undertakings are entering into public-private partnership for promotion of technology transfer. This joint effort can stimulate further innovation in technologies and result in growth of entrepreneurship. There are several examples of such transfer leading to entrepreneurship. The present paper is to study the issues, challenges and analyze the factors that can contribute to the growth of public-private participation in technology transfer resulting in entrepreneurship. |
