Abstract: | Adhesives have been closely related to the daily life of human beings to the extent of having been used by ancient Egyptians. In early days, the jelly-like glue, prepared by making use of leather or bones of animals was mainly in use as an adhesive. During the Second World War, casein glue and nitrocellulose glue were developed for military uses. However, it was not until in 1930 that such adhesives as utilizing urea resin and resorcinol resin in terms of plastic resins were put on sale in the market. |
