The vacuum metallizing is referred to as a work forming metallic films by vaporizing a metal with heating under the state of high vacuum to have the metal vapor condensed and crystallized on the surface of an object in mind. This technical principle was discovered by Thomas Edison towards the end of the 19th century while working on the incandescent lamp. Since then both basic and applied techniques have been steadily developed, and in recent years, various vacuum metallized films have been developed and produced, helped by the emergence of plastic films in particular.en_US
