dc.description.abstract | The technology and plant introduced here are related to the secondary product using the wire rod as its raw material. Labor-intensive instead of being technology- intensive, it is already a declining industry in many of the advanced nations due to the difficulty in securing labor as well as the weight of labor costs. Though inferior in its workability to other industries, it is not subject to encouragement of plastics or synthetic fibers because of its characteristics. Therefore, it is the type of business having an increasing demand, which can be quite competitive if relatively cheap labor is utilized to advantage in developing countries where sufficient manpower is available. | en_US |
