dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this paper is to examine some facts and challenges related to women entrepreneurs. After reviewing some of the business practices of women across the world, two case studies are presented, based on the experiences of two women - one an eminent entrepreneur whose work was based on Gandhian principles - Dr. Ela Bhatt and the other a successful young entrepreneur from Gwalior - Ms. Tina Olyai, who built a reputed higher secondary CBSE school with struggles and challenges, motivated by her love for children. The studies indicate that education and family support play a vital role in women's progress in their entrepreneurial efforts, consistent with the report of the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India. | en_US |
