Abstract: The importance of Social Entrepreneurship (SE) is realized to alleviate poverty not only in India but for the entire Human Society in the World. The Author would like to share his rich and laudable experience in Social Entrepreneurship. Conceptualizing Social entrepreneurship. It is recognized as a line of human Endeavour in the History. We can understand Entrepreneurship - Whether social or Business - is all about "Creating Wealth". Wealth in a society would include 3 components, vie; Economic Capital, Social/Community Capital, Environmental Capital. It is known as "Triple Bottom Line". Social Entrepreneurs use Creative solutions to better the world and build transformation businesses to solve the problem of poverty. Social Entrepreneur is a person with vision, Drive, and Integrity of purpose, great persuasive powers and remarkable Stamina. India has the largest number of NGOs per capita. The Author has worked as Professor for EDC- Entrepreneurship Development Cell, and also as Project Manager for RCDS- Rajagiri Community Development Society (NGO) in the State of Kerala. During his tenure, he has implemented many novel and sustainable projects like Road laying process by using Plastic waste materials,Bio-Gas by using kitchen waste, Rain water harvesting, Waste water purification, Organic farming,Vermi composite,Solar energy products-literacy, etc.If Government of India and Society/public are giving their full cooperation for social Entrepreneurship, the Author is fully confident of achieving higher growth rate level in Indian Economy with in a short period.
