Abstract

I. Product and its uses Centrifugal Pumps are one of the widely used device for agricultural purposes in preference over other types of pumps on account of its low cost. Simplicity of construction and easy maintenance. (Reserved list No. 518). There are various types of centrifugal pumps used for different purposes like Industrial, domestic, agriculture & also pumps for chemical industries. ' Centrifugal pumps essentially require prime movers which can either be diesel engines or electric motors. The running cost of electrical driving is lesser: than the diesel engine. Centrifugal pumps are basically foundry items. Almost 90% of the parts casted with pir, iron and cast iron scrap bushes, Ball bearing, Grease cups, Bolts & Nuts etc.
