Abstract

I. Product and its Uses Cranks are used in chain wheel and crank set assembly of Bicycle. A set of two cranks i.e. R.H. and L.H. is required for a chain wheel set. Cranks are forged pieces made out of mild steel. Crank forgings are required: by the chain wheel and crank set manufacturers only. The new entrepreneurs should consider this point before takmg up this item for manufactunng. II. Market Potential Bicycle industry is growing very fast because of rising demand from the home as well as export market. Accordingly, the demand for bicycle parts has also increased. As the chain wheel & crank is required as OE and a spare part, therefore, there is very good market potential for the crank forgings. m.
