Abstract: I. Product & its Uses The 'D' is a nut where cross section alongwith the axis of the tapped hole is in the form of letter D. The 'D' nuts are used in some type of cycles like Sen-Raleigh manufactured by Sen Raleigh Ltd. Calcutta and not in other types of cycles like Atlas, Hero, etc. The 'D' nuts are being used alongwith the respective bolts to hold the fork clips and the chain stay clips in rear brake tube functions in pre-determined manner to effect the braking system effectively. II. Market Potential The Sen Raleigh cycles were in very good demand about two decades back. In those days, the purchasers of cycle were interested in more durable and quality bicycles. These cycles were costly, the people had purchasing power, quality minded. , As the components of Raleigh cycles have special feature-they have become comparatively costlier to process the components. On a cumulative effect of the above, the price of these cycles have become costly and dearer as compared to other brands. Hence, the demand for this type is now very less. As a result, the demand for these 'D' nuts also has come down and is not available freely with the cycle part dealers.
