Abstract

I. Product and its Uses Dog plates are made of Cast Iron and is an accessory of a lathe. It is used for holding different types of jobs on lathes. The dog plate is a flange type machine casting which fits on the spindle of lathe. II. Market Potential The demand for the dog plates is directly related to the demand for lathes which in turn depends upon the growth of Engineering Industries where they are used. With the rapid industrialisation in the Country the demand for Engineering items is increasing effecting to growth of engineering industries. With the increase in the number of Engineering industries the demand for lathes is bound to increase as a result of this the demand for dog plates also will increase automatically. Hence there is good market potential for dog plates.
