L Product and its uses (i) Drawer Locks and Suit-case Locks are similar in construction and shape to some extent. Drawer Locks are used for locking drawers of tables. This lock is fitted inside the drawer and is not easily approachable from outside. On turning the key a locking head emerges out and fits in the cavity provided in the top or wall of the table or almirah. Previously these locks were only made from brass but now brass and mild steel locks are available. There is slight difference in construction of body but other components and operation are same. These are available in 30, 40, 50, 60 and 65 mm sizes. (ii) Suitcase Locks-These are made in two pieces i.e. body and locking latch. Locking latch when pressed on the body is held thereby a lever which is spring loaded. This lever can be locked or unlocked by operating the key. The latch has also a slit which fits on the loop, fitted on body so that a separate lock can also be fitted for additional safety if required.en_US
