Fountain Pen Nibs

Abstract

I. Ildrodoctfoft (A) Product and its uses Nib is an important part of a fountain pen. Nibs for penholders are used for general writing purposes. With the increase in the educated persons and writing work more and more usage of fountain pen nibs both for fitting on fountain pens as original part as well as replacement item is continuously increasing in use. Fountain pen nibs are classified as fine. medium or broad according to width of the line written. The nibs are tipped with a ball or of suitable non-corrosive hard material, like Usmoirridium alloy or tungsten-cobalt-chromium alloy. The nibs are also gold plated. They are generally made of stainless steel of specification 04 Cr 18 Ni 10 or 07 Cr 18 Ni. Conforming to IS : 691-1972. Nibs are gold plated in accordance with grade Au 5 of IS : 3266- 1965.
