Abstract

I. Product Description and uses To reduce the wear and tear due to friction, lubrication is provided to the automobiles and machines tools for smooth and efficient running. Grease lubrication is used where the oil lubrication is not practicable or at best not economical. The grease lubrication is provided through grease nipples fitted on the various specified parts of the vehicles and Machine Tools etc. The cavities between the mating parts to be lubricated are filled with the grease, by means of grease guns through grease nipples provided in the vehicles. The grease guns are used mainly in Automobile Servicing Stations, Engineering Workshops, Railways and Defence Department etc. n. Market Potential With the increase in the population of vehicles, expected rise in the production of motor vehicles and setting up of more service stations, the requirement of grease guns is estimated 10 lakhs numbers. Therefore scope exists for development in the small scale sector.
