Abstract: I. Product and its uses This scheme is to manufacture Hand pumps which are used for pumping water from wells or tube wells in village and cities. This scheme is meant for manufacture of 250 Hand Pumps per month. (Reserved list S. No. 449). II. Market Potential Due to inadequate water facilities in rural 'areas, water supply with the help of hand pumps is gaining popularity. These pumps are for domestic use in villages and towns. These are also bought by State Government agencies for supply to consumers. ICEF is bringing large no. of pumps for export.
