Abstract

I. Product and its uses Lamp holder as the name implies hold electrical bulb and at the same time connects the bulb circuit to terminals of electrical mains. For fixing of bulb on the body of holders, slots are provided which are known as bayonet slots. There are two types of lamp holders available in the market i.e. Metal cased and insulated material cased lamp holders. The lamp holders available in the market are suitable for voltage not exceeding 250 volts and load not exceeding two amps. This item is covered by the household electrical appliances Quality Control Order promulgated by Govt. of India and hence the item should be manufactured and tested as per Indian Standards. The item is exclusively reserved for small scale sector. Reserved List S. No. 499. n. Market Potential Electrification is being extended to rural areas.
