Abstract: I. Product and its uses Seed drill is a farm-equipment for mechanised sawing of small seeds. The equipment can be driven by tractor, animal or by it's own oil engine. Seed drills help to place seeds of grains in the ground in narrow spaced rows at uniform depth. It consists of frame, wheels, a box for the seed, a device to meter the seeds out of the hopper in uniform quantities, furrow openers and covering devices. The size designation such as 12-6 means that there are 12 Nos. of furrow openers spaced 6" apart. Seed drills using power upto 5 H.P. is. reserved for manufacture by small scale industries under reservation 0.507.
