Abstract: | I. Introduction In the measurement of time, spring driven pendulum clocks are generally very well made and lasts many years. These are generally termed as Wall clocks and the principal part of this clock is the pendulum. The pendulum lathe is actual time keeper and the test of the clock merely serves to keep the pendulum vibrating and to record its number of vibration upon the dial. The motive power is a steel main spring coiled up inside barrel>. The motion is transmitted to a main wheel and revolves and dries the pinion of the centre wheel. The centre wheel drives the pinion of the third wheel. The third wheel drives the pinion of the escape wheel. |
