dc.description.abstractWomen have been playing an important role since ages in the economic development process in any society notwithstanding the cultural, social or gender factors. There are a number of evidences of contribution of women towards societal development and improvement. Entrepreneurship is the core of economic development. Since, women are an integral part of any society, entrepreneurship by them will surely cause the society to grow multi-directionally. Though women entrepreneurship is a recent phenomenon and in the process has to face various sociological and psychological problems. The paper is a critical analysis of the challenges faced female entrepreneurs right from the beginning of the venture and as they proceed forward successfully. There will be a critical assessment about the role of women entrepreneurs in sustainable micro businesses. Once the role is examined, the relevance of entrepreneurship education for women and preparing them for upcoming threats in the society would become stronger. Their economic potential is slowly being realized as they are coming out of the deep slumber cast by the gender and religious discriminations cutting across the cultures and nation. The paper will be a critical analysis of the various factors facilitating women entrepreneurship.en_US
