Abstract: Global phenomena like liberalization, deregulation and internet have empowered individuals not only to make significant contribution to economic growth but also be the major beneficiaries of one’s contribution. What has happened in Boston, Silicon Valley and Munich is due to perpetrate into India. In the knowledge economy, as India attempts to leverage its unique strengths, new ways of converting ideas into businesses are evolving. Many of these individual ideas are transforming into businesses of international flavour. Surprisingly, many of the principles governing traditional 'ideas to business transformation' are having a re-look in certain contexts. It may be quite possible that these new ways of working could suggest towards a framework that would enable rapid and mass entrepreneurship. The paper describes and highlights the concepts of Venturization that highlights this trend. It would also attempt to provide insight into this trend through a case study of idea to business transformation.
