dc.description.abstractlRice. is one of the major crops of Lao PDR and constitutes the staple diet of a, majority of the population. Good quality and varieties of rice' are grown in different Iparts of the country. They do not just meet the country's demand for rice but has: learned a special place for itself in international markets especially the sticky rise. ' . Rice mill is used for obtaining rice from paddy. Presently, different mills of varying' 'capacities are set up in many parts of one country especially the parts where rice is ,principally grown. On one hand rice bran can be bought by such mills and can be marketed after obtaining rice from it, on the other hand the producers of rice themselves can hire service, of these rice mills. Along with the big rice mills, small rtce mills have also been proved lucrative especially when production and job work, both are taken up, this unit can not only prove to be successful but quite a profitable means of self employment. The medium and the large farmers can also lset up rice mills as a forward integration of their existing farms.en_US
