dc.description.abstract | Noodles are a basic dietary requirement of all Laotians. There would be no house lin Laos, which does not consume noodles atleast once ·daily. However most moodles consumed in Laos is Rice noodles and is freshly prepared at homes. 'There are also a few shops in the villages, which sell freshly made rice noodles. However, the demand for ready-made rice and wheat noodles in Laos is far greater than supply. While most Laotians prefer freshly made noodles, there is a significant trend is ready to cook packaged noodles. This trend is going to rise .due to rapid industrialization in Laos and also due to men and women both !working leading to a lack of time in making noodles fresh, which is a very kurnbersorne job. | en_US |
