dc.description.abstractAnvil is a heavy block made of steel casting or cast-iron, and kept in blacksmithy & mechanical workshops for light forging work. The small anvils may be kept on a frame made steel angle sections, but the heavier ones are kept on ground. The heated part, to be hand forged, is kept on tile anvil and hammered. The beak on the anvil is used for bending purpose.en_US
