dc.description.abstract | Domestic utensils are indispensable items of everyhousehold. The brass utensils are considered essential articles out of various types of domesticutensils. These are mostly used for storing,cooking, servicing and catering purposes. In old days the utensils were generally used to be made of copper. Later on the same were replaced by the brass being cheaper than tho copperand durable material in household cook- ing. Although, the brass utensils later on were gradually replaced with stainless steel, aluminiumand plastic wares. Still now the brass utensilswill be seen in plenty in the rural areas for their aesthetic value. One advantage of the brass utensils is that the old utensils after wearand tear have good resale value. Besides, cooking and catering the brass utensils arealso used for worshipping purpose throughoutthe country specially in temnles, as these are consideredone of the essential articles for tb~ puja. | en_US |
