Feeler gauge consists of a series of gauging blades of graded thickness assembled in a prospective sheath (metal case). Feeler gauges are simple measuring equipment used to check the clearances between the two mating components, These are also used for checking the gap between the rotor and starter of the electric motors and in automobile repair shop to measure the gap between the electrodes of spark plug.
