Abstract: Enterprise Education is relatively a new subject in India. During 1950s it was debatable that management skills were developed or not. During early' I 960s number of management institutions were established in India. Keeping in view the need for professionalism in Indian corporate world, these institutions were established and have contributed a lot in the economic and industrial development of the country. There are two thoughts prevailing about entrepreneurship. As per the first, entrepreneurship is inborn in individuals and the second thought describes entrepreneurship as developable. Many researchers and thinkers feel that entrepreneurial competencies can be developed in individuals with the help of well thought of appropriately designed and imparted training programme. Many considerable modifications and changes in education systems have not been able to deal adequately with the problems faced by fresh graduates. The education that is provided to them should develop few skills and often generates attitudes and expectations among them. The education systems tend to strengthen the motivation for wage employment instead of promoting the potentiality for gainful self-employment, often in government establishments. Most of the educated youth of rural areas continuously migrate to towns and cities in search of jobs which due to slow economic growth and increase in population, are not enough to cater to the needs of all the aspirants. Day by day the number of educated unemployed has been increasing.
