Abstract: Performance management is the process in which performance measures facilitate the management of such process. Apart from accounting and financial market data, the researchers have developed and used indicators like Customer Satisfaction, Human Resources, Quality, Research & Development, Environmental and Social factors etc while measuring the organizational performance. Although Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in wealth creation in the society, many organizational performance studies have left them out of the purview of research due to non-sharing of accounting and financial market data, absence of comprehensive regulatory filing and wide-spread tax avoidance. The paper examines the alternate performance indicators in absence of accounting data and suggests a combination of such indicators for use in future research.
