dc.description.abstract"Within each country education can no longer be regarded as a series, of unconnected enterprises, conducted at different levels with purposes independent of each other. Education within any society must be considered as a unified whole, its parts in balance & the balance in turn reflecting Society's requirements & the resources available to meet them." The above opinion regarding education was quoted in Dr. James Perkins' Summary Report of the International Conference on World Crisis in Education, October 1967. In India after Independence, various commissions have recommended various suggestions to improve the standard of higher education in India. Keeping in mind these recommendations, the Government of India has announced various education policies from time to time.en_US
