Abstract: Indenisation. of public services was a national ethos. Indians must rule India. Union Public service commission was born to cherish this. Over seven decades, it has grown to a reputed organisation focussing public services. Time has come to magnify its' role for human resource development. It may change to explore perceive and meet the public needs. India still lives in villages. Poverty is the primary feature. People's longing for the government to do everything for them is the reflection of insecurity. Induction of dedicated public servants to administer can deliver quality services quickly, making people stronger. This article on the occasion of platinum jubilee of UPSC, focus on new dimensions of growth and development aiming at creation and grooming of a new breed of professionalised public entrepreneurs.
