Abstract: 'Entrepreneurs can be developed through training' is a rational statement according to many. Yet, terms like 'risks' and 'losses' considerably obscure this rationality. For people knowledgeable in business and abreast of developments in the corporate world, there is no stultifying of incentives. On the contrary, with his/her motivation coupled, s/he builds his/her empire. EDI's initiatives in the food processing industry have translated many a dream into reality. Each day we receive a new story of accomplishment. As a Project Director, it is gratifying that awareness has come about and capabilities have been developed in about 2500 people. 'Proud owners of business' are how many describe themselves. And this effort to document the whole intervention is a step towards further concretising the tasks ahead.
