Abstract:
Women Entrepreneurship is considered as dynamic, social and economic
phenomenon across the globe and has gained importance in India in the wake of
globalisation. Boosting the participation of women in entrepreneurship has caught
the attention of all including academicians, government agencies and policy makers
especially from the developing economies. This paper is a comprehensive review and
endeavors to explore the push-pull factors which affect the entrepreneurial intent of
female entrepreneurs in Maharashtra and recommends a framework to industry
practitioners, Self- help Groups, policy makers in determining the pull-push factors
which will influence the entrepreneurial intention of females and enhance the
entrepreneurial competencies of female entrepreneurs who are committed to the
growth of their business.
