Abstract:
Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDIIl, Ahmedabad, is an
autonomous & not for profit institute engaged in promoting entrepreneurship
through education, research, training and institution building at the national and
international levels since 1983. EDlllaunched its full-time academic programme
in 1998 titled as Post Graduate Diploma in Business Entrepreneurship with an
objective to create new entrepreneurs & successors of family businesses. The
programme was recognized by the AICTE, ministry of HRD, Govt. of India in 2008
with a new nomenclature of Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Business
Entrepreneurship The Institute pioneered this full-time programme in 1998 to develop
entrepreneurial leaders. This multidisciplinary course based on consultative
approach and intense research is now being offered as an AICTE-approved
programme - the 'Post Graduate Diploma in Management-Business
Entrepreneurship' (PGDM-BE).
