Abstract:
The Start-Up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP) launched in July
2016 with the aim of creating a supportive ecosystem conducive to rural
entrepreneurship. The three boxes below indicate the key stakeholders in this
programme. EDI is functioning as a National Resource Agency (NRO) and a
Programme Implementing Agency (PIA), piloting the programme in 24
blocks across 11 states. Almost one year down the line, we have seen steady
progress being made in these states. This newsletter aims to capture in brief
and in time, this pan-India strategy to develop the rural ecosystem into one in
which entrepreneurial spirit and endeavour thrives.
